Vancouver police say three people have suffered ‘significant’ injuries after a crash in the Downtown Eastside on Friday.
The VPD says around 9:25 p.m., a driver lost control of a 2002 Buick Century while travelling along East Cordova Street near Powell Street, eventually leaving the road and hitting a pole.
Police say the three people in the vehicle, all in their 30s, suffered “a number of” serious but non-life-threatening injuries, including broken teeth and bones.
A 35-year-old man, whom police say was the driver, was arrested at the scene. Investigators think speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
