Plane slides off taxiway and stuck in the grass at YVR

As snow in Metro Vancouver continues to cause havoc for drivers on Tuesday, it looks like the slippery conditions are impacting pilots too.
In a statement from YVR, it says a plane went off a taxiway and is stuck in the grass.

According to the statement, it says EVA Air Flight 10 from Taipei, Taiwan, landed at the airport around 7 p.m., but when it was making its way to the gate it slid off of the tarmac and is stuck beside the runway.
The group says that there are no reports of injuries, and crews are working to get passengers safely to the airport.

But due to the incident, it says one runway is closed for arrivals “and other flights may experience delays.”
Flights can still come and go, as YVR says another runway is open, and the airport is “fully operational.”

Before heading to the airport, YVR says passengers should make sure to check if their flight is delayed or canceled.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to support those impacted by this incident as well as today’s snow conditions,” it added.
