Semi truck driver ticketed for excessive speeding in Abbotsford

A semi truck has been impounded in Abbotsford after a driver was caught going nearly doubling the 50 kilometre speed limit.
Abbotsford police say the driver was caught going 92 kilometres per hour on Dec. 6.
Officers handed the driver an excessive speeding ticket to go along with a seven-day impound. Abbotsford police haven’t made a statement on any change in the status of the driver’s license.

In British Columbia, excessive speeding is defined as being 40 kilometres or more over the speed limit.
