B.C. resident Sydney Carrol won’t be getting her $1,500 dollars back now, or ever.
The BC Provincial Court’s Small Claims Court made the decision to dismiss her case over purse repairs which she claimed were of “poor quality.”
Carrol says she brought her designer handbag to Winnie Wu for repairs to the bag’s handles that were coming loose.
Wu told the court that Carrol was advised the repairs would be difficult, and that the patches wouldn’t be an exact colour match to the bag.
Carrol then claimed Wu’s work was done so poorly that she needed to buy a replacement bag.
The Civil Resolution Tribunal disagreed though, saying Carrol hadn’t proven that Wu’s work was done poorly, and dismissed the $1,500 claim in court on Dec. 13.
