One charged in West End senior assault: Vancouver police

An unprovoked assault on a senior in Vancouver’s Davie Village in the West End last month has led to the arrest of a man by Vancouver police.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says on Nov. 8 around 2 p.m., a 67-year-old man was waiting at a bus stop at Davie Street and Thurlow Street when he was assaulted by a stranger.

Police say several witnesses called 911 and officers located a suspect nearby.

On Monday, the VPD announced one count of assault causing bodily harm was approved against 35-year-old David Keyler, who was arrested on Sunday.
