Suspects in Port Coquitlam assault at large, RCMP appeals for leads

The RCMP is appealing to anyone who might have any information on an assault that occurred at the basketball court of Citadel Middle School in Port Coquitlam Saturday evening, Dec. 17.
Police say on Saturday, just before 8:00 p.m., they received a report of the school incident, wherein the victim was involved in a fight with a group of young men just before the said assault.
Police are appealing for public assistance following an altercation that left a man with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
Suspect description:
•Caucasian male
•Between 16 to 18 years old
•5’5 to 5’7 tall

They add the victim suffered from non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the suspects is described to be 16 to 18 years old, 5’5 to 5’7 in height, with short, light brown, curly hair.

They add, due to the inclement weather at the time of the incident, there was limited foot traffic in the area, which may have made this group stand out in the minds of the public.
Police are asking anyone who may have any knowledge of the incident, or may have observed the group, to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
