Connor Bedard passed Eric Lindros’ Canadian record for most career points at the world junior hockey championship when he scored Monday to give him 32 points overall.
The 17-year-old put up the record-breaking total in just 14 career games while Lindros did it in 21 games.
Bedard’s 15th goal means he has passed Jordan Eberle becoming Canada’s all-time leading scorer in the world juniors, as previously the record was 14.
With his 19th point, Bedard also broke the record for most points by a Canadian in a single tournament, passing Dale McCourt (1977) and Brayden Schenn (2011) who both managed 18.
