Violent offender re-arrested in Vancouver: police

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says it has re-arrested a violent offender for allegedly breaching his release conditions.

Police say Juel Dillon Stanton, 32, was located on Friday night in downtown Vancouver. He was immediately taken back to jail.

Stanton was serving a three-year sentence for a 2017 armed robbery in Coquitlam.

According to the VPD, Stanton was ordered to live at a Vancouver halfway house when he obtained statutory release.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Stanton after his alleged breach of release.
