Surrey man wanted Canada-wide arrested: RCMP

A Surrey man who was listed as one of B.C.’s most wanted has been arrested.
The RCMP says Amardip Rai has been taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
Rai has been a wanted man since 2021 after he failed to show up in court. In January of last year, the Surrey RCMP asked the public for help in finding Rai, who at the time was wanted on 17 charges.
Later in 2022, the man was named by the Bolo Program as one of B.C.’s top five most wanted.

Mounties say Rai was located after officers, who were “proactively working to locate individuals with outstanding warrants,” confirmed he was in a home along 64 Avenue Sunday.
Rai remains in custody until his next court appearance.
