Bus loses control, hits vehicle on slippery Coquitlam hill
A bus in Coquitlam had a tough time navigating slippery conditions Tuesday as many Metro Vancouverites woke up to a dusting of snow.
A video posted online, which appeared to be taken on Laurentian Crescent in the city, shows a bus approaching a snowy intersection.

The video shows the tires losing their grip on the road as the bus makes a slight right turn down a hill.
As the vehicle loses traction, the sound of horns can be heard as the bus slowly turns sideways.

Numerous loud crunches and bangs are heard while the bus slides down the hill, hitting one vehicle and narrowly missing a couple of others.
Eventually, the bus corrects its course, leaving three vehicles in its wake.
TransLink has confirmed to CityNews that it is “aware” of an incident in Coquitlam on Tuesday, adding nobody was hurt in it.
It wasn’t the only transit vehicle that appeared to have troubles in the morning snow. Several callers told CityNews they saw vehicles struggle to get up hills.
There may be a repeat of the slick road conditions on Wednesday morning, with the forecast calling for light rain and potentially snow early in the day.
