Almost all of the signs warning people of fines for feeding wildlife have been vandalized in Vancouver’s Stanley Park over the past two weeks.
In an email to CityNews, a spokesperson for the Stanley Park Ecology Society says “Wildlife feeding is a hot topic, with the public generally unaware of the dangers of it, to the extent that signs warning the public not to feed wildlife are being vandalized – destroyed or painted in black – by those who wish to continue feeding wildlife.”
Sure enough, from Lost Lagoon to further inside the park, these yellow signs have been painted over.
