Vancouver ‘serious assault’ was a stabbing that left 3 hurt

Vancouver police say the “serious assault” they responded to downtown Thursday night was a triple stabbing.

According to the VPD, three men in their early 20s got into an argument that escalated in the west lane of Granville Street near Nelson just before 7:30 p.m.

During the course of the altercation, all three men were stabbed. They were taken to the hospital and police say they are expected to survive.

The three men know each other, investigators add.

Police had the area shut down for some time following the incident. Officers remained into the evening as investigators canvassed the area.

The VPD is asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 604-717-4022.
