Surrey VancouFur convention evacuated due to police situation

A convention at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey was evacuated Saturday afternoon due to a police incident.

Police earlier shut down the area around 104th and 152nd avenue.

VancouFur says the situation has been resolved.

“Once the incident is resolved and things have settled, there will be a formal announcement about the incident,” the organizers said in a tweet.
