BC Transit says full service will be returning Sunday in Fraser Valley regions affected by an ongoing labour dispute.
Regular transit systems will resume in Abbotsford, Agassiz-Harrison, Chilliwack, Hope and Mission. The Fraser Valley Express is expected to resume full operations as well.
“BC Transit is closely monitoring the situation and sincerely apologizes to customers for the inconvenience caused by this matter. We understand the frustration felt by customers, and that job action is difficult for everyone involved in the region,” BC Transit said in a release.

CUPE workers have made it clear that handyDART transit services will remain in place for critical medical appointments in the region.
BC Transit says the labour dispute itself is between CUPE union workers and First Transit, which is BC Transit’s contractor.
