Car hits house in Vancouver, driver taken to hospital

One person has been taken to the hospital after the car they were driving hit a house in Vancouver’s Langara neighbourhood Thursday.
West 49th Avenue was closed between Ontario and Columbia streets for much of the afternoon while crews tended to the situation.
An image shared by the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) shows the vehicle completely upside down against the home. It’s unclear exactly how the car ended up that way.
At around 6 p.m., VPD said 49th Avenue was “now open to traffic.”
It’s unclear how seriously hurt the driver was.
