Mounties in Surrey are appealing for help in finding three people who are wanted in connection with an assault during a protest in March.
According to the RCMP, a fight broke out during a demonstration on 132 Street on March 19 just before 6 p.m., resulting in an assault. One person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police add.
The RCMP is sharing two videos of the incident with the hopes of identifying the suspects involved.
One suspect is described as a man in his mid-20s to early 30s with a long black beard. He was wearing dark clothing, a blue vest, and a small blue turban at the time.
Another suspect is described as a man in his mid-20s to early 30s with a short black beard. He was wearing all-black clothing, a black vest, and a small black turban.
The third suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, who was wearing all-black clothing and a bright orange mask.
Corp. Sarbjit Sangha says assaults of any kind, even in large, crowded settings, will be fully investigated.
“It is not always safe for police to take immediate enforcement action within a large group of protesters; however, these offences continue to be fully investigated and could lead to subsequent arrests or charges,” she said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
