Scott Road crash leaves pedestrian dead: Surrey RCMP

Mounties in Surrey say a female pedestrian is dead after a crash on Scott Road Friday night.
The Surrey RCMP says officers were called to the area near Scott Road and BC Parkway at about 10:45 p.m.
Mounties say a female pedestrian was trying to cross the road “where there were no crosswalks” when she was struck by a 2006 Chrysler 300.
She was pronounced dead on the scene, police add.
The adult male driver stayed on-scene and is co-operating with police.
Investigators say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be contributing factors, but the investigation is ongoing.
