Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim has made his choice for his mayor’s office chief of staff.
According to a tweet from Sim Friday afternoon, Trevor Ford will be taking on the role on an interim basis from Acting Chief of Staff Melisa Morphy.
“Trevor is a natural fit for this role. He has been my right-hand man over the last six months and he brings a wealth of experience to this vital position,” he said.
Extremely honoured to be the Interim Chief of Staff for @KenSimCity. I look forward to continuing working with @Vote4ABC Councillors and our staff team to deliver common-sense solutions for Vancouverites. https://t.co/tSwsXSHhB1

Morphy took over the role in February after Kareem Allam stepped down.
A release from the City of Vancouver says Morphy will be “resuming her previous role as Director of Policy.”
