‘Prolific offender’ arrested in Maple Ridge: RCMP

Mounties in Maple Ridge say a “prolific offender” who was wanted for multiple warrants has been arrested in Maple Ridge.

According to the Ridge Meadows RCMP, investigators discovered where the man was and arrested him around 1:45 p.m. on June 8.

Mounties say 41-year-old Adam Carr “was in possession of a loaded firearm” at the time of arrest, and is now facing nine charges including two counts of possession of a firearm without license or registration. Mounties note more charges are also pending.

Police were actively focusing our attention on prolific offender Adam Carr, Sgt. Crystal Heisler said. This is another example of how SRT proactively targets criminals to keep violent offenders off our streets.

Carr is a repeat offender, police say, and is remanded in custody until June 16.
