Ahead of the Canada Day long weekend, BC Ferries reservation systems were temporarily down Tuesday afternoon.
The ferry service says it has since been restored.
In an email to CityNews, a spokesperson with the service said the interruption was due to a “technical glitch.”

BC Ferries said Monday it is anticipating a busy weekend, and warned of long wait times for those without a reservation.
“We’re expecting a busy #CanadaDay weekend on the coast. If you don’t have a reservation and your plans are flexible, consider travel on Saturday or walk on board to avoid sailing waits,” a tweet reads.
The most popular times to travel will be Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday morning. Customers driving on board without a booking will likely experience sailing waits at peak times. Customers with bookings should plan to arrive 45-60 minutes before their sailing. (2/5)
