Crews out of the United States have shared a dramatic video of a rescue that took place in waters near Victoria last week.
The United States Coast Guard tweeted a video of the harrowing rescue, which it says took place on Friday night in the Salish Sea about two miles (three kilometres) south of the provincial capital.
According to the agency, two teenage girls and an adult woman needed rescuing from a dinghy.
The video shows a rescuer rappelling from a ship down into the water, then other team members pulling the women up from the water in a basket.

The Coast Guard says the trio was found around 7 p.m. after their 40-foot vessel they were on sank after taking on too much water. The women were said to have been showing signs of hypothermia and were brought to the hospital in Victoria.
At the time of the rescue, the agency says there were 23-mile-per-hour winds (37 km/h) and five-foot-tall waves.
