Emergency drill happening in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour Tuesday

Don’t be alarmed if you see a lot of activity near the Vancouver Harbour Heliport in Coal Harbour Tuesday morning.

An emergency response drill is scheduled at the facility from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Helijet says managers of the Heliport, Pacific Heliport Services, as well as “a number of first responders” will be taking part in the drill.

“This is a routine exercise only,” the company says in a release.

It does not expect the drill to disrupt travel or traffic, though the activity may be a distraction for those who aren’t sure what’s going on.
