A special council meeting was held in Surrey Wednesday morning, less than a month after the province ordered the city to stick with the transition to a municipal police force.
What exactly was discussed is not clear, though it was previously suggested that council was discussing “next steps” in the police transition.
Councillors OMNI News spoke with Wednesday declined to comment, saying the meeting was in-camera and that there was no resolution to share the details with the public.

The in-camera meeting got underway at 9 a.m. It took about an hour and a half.
When we may find out the details of what was discussed also remains up in the air — with some people CityNews spoke with suggesting that could be as early as next week, while others have not said a date.
