VPD releases images of sex assault suspect, asks public for help

Vancouver police have released new images of a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged sexual assault, and are asking the public for help in identifying the man.

The suspect and victim met each in downtown Vancouver near the corner of Robson and Granville streets in the early hours of July 15, the Vancouver Police Department says, adding the pair left the area in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as having short, black hair and a black beard. The VPD is releasing surveillance images that show the suspect may have been wearing a light t-shirt, checkered shorts, and flip-flops around the time the incident was reported.
