Drake concert in Vancouver rescheduled last minute
Drake’s Monday night concert in Vancouver has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 30, due to technical issues identified just under two hours before doors were set to open.
The concert was the first of two scheduled back-to-back on the superstar rapper’s It’s All A Blur Tour. The second is still set to “go on as planned” Tuesday night, according to a statement Canucks Sports and Entertainment posted on the Rogers Arena Twitter account.
“Drake was ready and excited to perform. He is looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday,” it read.

Canucks Sports and Entertainment explains the last-minute cancellation comes “due to unforeseen circumstances with the newly-installed videoboard at Rogers Arena.”
The brand new 1,300 square foot per side board was installed earlier in August and was said to “bring fans closer to the action than ever before” — but not on Monday night.
Rogers Arena can fit nearly 20,000 people, and some were already outside of the area — as merchandise tents opened up outside of the venue just before 2 p.m.
