In an email to CityNews, Metro Vancouver Transit Police say officers were notified about a man who had entered the tracks at Olympic Village Station just before 8 p.m.
Police say the man had walked through the tunnel between Olympic Village Station and Yaletown Station.
Service was halted immediately and power to the tracks was shut down to ensure the man’s safety.
Police say the man was “believed to be suffering from a mental health crisis,” and he was taken into custody “without incident” before being transported to hospital for an assessment.
Metro Vancouver Transit Police say service resumed just before 9 p.m.
