The Vancouver Canucks have announced the team’s broadcasting crew for the 2023-24 NHL season.
In a post on X, the team says John Shorthouse will do play-by-play alongside game analyst Dave Tomlinson and host Dan Murphy.
Former NHL player and broadcast veteran Ray Ferraro is also joining the team as an analyst “on select Canucks games throughout the season.”
Congratulations and welcome to @Sportsnet’s #Canucks broadcast team!

Tomlinson replaces beloved former analyst John “Cheech” Garrett — who retired in April after holding the position since 2002 — and brings decades of experience between his professional hockey and broadcasting careers.
Although, fans of “Cheech” can rejoice, as he isn’t leaving the business entirely. Back in March, Garrett announced he would still “appear on some other Sportsnet properties.”
