Pedestrian hit by van in Maple Ridge: police

Police are looking for any dash-cam footage or surveillance video after a pedestrian was hit by a van in Maple Ridge on Friday.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says they responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle incident at 222 St. and Dewdney Truck Rd. around 4:20 p.m., where they found a pedestrian had been injured.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital and remains in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and police say there will be no further information regarding the incident released for now.
