Vancouver man’s death on Sunshine Coast shocks dental industry

The Dental Industry Association of Canada (DIAC) says it is “shocked and saddened” after homicide investigators announced the suspicious death of Henry Doyle on the Sunshine Coast.
Doyle was the president and chair of the DIAC board of directors, with the association describing him as “an esteemed leader in the Canadian dental industry.”
“His death is a great loss to all who knew him,” a statement from the DIAC reads, adding he led “with passion and integrity.”
“On behalf of our members and the Canadian dental industry as a whole, we offer our deepest sympathies to Henry’s family and friends. He will be truly missed,” the statement concluded.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) announced on Tuesday the 58-year-old was found with serious injuries on the Klein Lake Forest Service Road in Egmont, B.C., on Saturday.
IHIT says while first responders rushed to the scene, the Vancouver man died of his injuries. His death is being considered suspicious.
IHIT says it has determined Doyle had travelled to the area of his dirt bike — which was found near his body. Few other details have been provided, including the kind of injuries Doyle sustained.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the man or anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
“We’re looking to speak with anyone who was in the area of Klein Lake on Sept. 23,” IHIT Sgt. Timothy Pierotti said in an earlier release.
