An ambulance was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Broadway near Spruce Street in Vancouver early Tuesday morning, sending two to hospital, BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says.
The agency says there were five people on board at the time of the crash, including a patient who was being transported between hospitals, three paramedics, and a nurse.
Video posted online shows the ambulance after it apparently hit a lamppost.

BCEHS says it received a call about the incident and dispatched two more ambulances to the scene of the crash just after 5 a.m.
The patient on the initial ambulance and a paramedic were taken to hospital. BCEHS says their injuries were not serious, and that the paramedic was treated and has been released.
The status of the patient is not known. It is also not clear what caused the crash.
“We will be reaching out to the patient for any follow-up that might be required,” the service told CityNews. “Additionally, a BCEHS manager will be following up with the paramedics involved to ensure they are receiving the support they need.”
BCEHS says it has initiated a review of the incident.
