New Drake music video filmed in Maple Ridge

Famed Canadian rapper Drake just released a new music video filmed right here in Metro Vancouver.

The video is for his new track Another Late Night, featuring Lil Yachty, and appears to feature a treed cul-de-sac area in Maple Ridge.

Music Video Director Cole Bennett told the Kids Take Over podcast that both artists had some downtime in Vancouver and wanted to get a video done while they were there.

Bennett says they ended up filming in Maple Ridge because it felt like the “safest place to do it” where the artists could feel comfortable.

“We looked at a few locations in Vancouver but it was a little hot,” Bennett told Podcast Host Arshan Jawaid. “Permitting and all these things that go into location scouting, the Maple Ridge location felt the most tucked away.”

The video came out hours after Drake’s released his new album For All the Dogs. He also used the release to announce he was taking a break from music for health reasons.
