Vancouver makes top 50 list of cities for centi-millionaires

Vancouver has made yet another list, this time as one of the top 50 cities around the world for centi-millionaires.

The list, put together by Henley & Partners, a residence and citizenship by investment firm, has Vancouver sitting in 41st place, with 72 centi-millionaires and six billionaires.

The report is based on US dollars, noting a centi-millionaire is a person with a net worth of at least $100 million.

At the top of the list is New York City, followed by The Bay Area in California in second, and Los Angeles in third. The fourth city globally is London, while Beijing rounds out the top five.

Vancouver isn’t the only Canadian city to make the top 50. Toronto is 19th on the list.

Henley & Partners estimates the number of centi-millionaires in Vancouver will grow by 67 per cent over the next decade. In Toronto, that growth is expected to be 52 per cent by 2033.
