Wall collapses on Langley car lot

By CityNews Staff

No one appears to have been hurt, but there’s quite a bit of damage left after a wall collapsed onto a car lot in Langley.

It happened in the area of Fraser Highway and 200th Street over the weekend, reportedly on Saturday.

Images on social media show a large pile of rubble in the area, with some cars pictured with cracked windshields and sections of metal crushed by cement.

The wall that fell was part of a building that was under construction next door to the car lot. The Langley RCMP tells CityNews it was not called about the incident but adds as far as it is aware, there were no injuries reported.

What caused the structure to collapse remains unclear at this time, though it comes after a significant storm brought strong winds and heavy rain to the Lower Mainland over the weekend.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
