Another batch of cantaloupes recalled over Salmonella risk

More cantaloupe products are being recalled in B.C. over possible Salmonella contamination, although the best-before dates have passed.

Health Canada says fresh-cut cantaloupe from Frankly Fresh Salads and Fresh Street Market, as well as unlabeled cut products, should not be consumed or sold.

The recall covers items with best-before dates from Nov. 2nd to the 23rd.

It follows a national Salmonella outbreak linked to Malichita or Rudy brand cantaloupe that killed one person and made 63 others sick, including 12 people in B.C.
