Vancouver’s Mobi bikes are turning red

Those used to seeing the iconic blue Mobi bikes around Vancouver streets may notice the bikes are turning red.

The change is part of a rebranding from Shaw to Rogers. Mobi says it is set to release 100 newly rebranded classic bikes into the Vancouver bike share network.

Eventually all classic bikes, all stations, and a portion of ebikes will have the new colour.

The rebranding is expected to take about 10 weeks.

Mobi also says it is expanding to the UBC campus with 10 new bike stations, which will be delivered by summer 2024. In addition, the network has added 100 ebikes.

Rogers is the parent company of CityNews.
