One person seriously injured in Surrey shooting: RCMP

A shooting in Surrey’s Port Kells neighbourhood put one person in hospital with serious injuries, police say.

The Surrey RCMP says it responded to a report of a shooting around 10 p.m. on Monday on 92 Avenue, near Highway One.

A 19-year-old man, who police say is known to them, was located at the scene of the incident with gunshot wounds and taken to hospital.

Police say they are currently working to determine the circumstances of the shooting, but early evidence suggests it was a targeted, isolated incident.
