Parade closes streets in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood

A parade in Surrey Sunday morning will cause some traffic disruptions in the Newton area.

Road closures will be in effect between 77A Avenue and 80 Avenue, and between 122 Street and 124 Street.

Surrey RCMP says drivers should plan to take alternate routes between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The parade is to celebrate Guru Gobind’s birthday, as the tenth guru of the Sikh faith.
