Wanted Kamloops man captured after multi-detachment search: police

Police in Kamloops say a wanted man has been taken into custody after a coordinated search effort by multiple RCMP detachments.
Tyler Meldrum, 28, was wanted on two warrants for breach of a release order by Kamloops RCMP, nine warrants out of Alexis Creek and one more from Williams Lake.
“Efforts to locate Meldrum in Kamloops were unsuccessful, but an investigator learned that he was likely hiding out in a residence in Alexis Creek RCMP’s area and connected with RCMP officers there,” said Sgt. Janelle Shoihet with the Kamloops RCMP.
“Crime may know no boundaries, but neither does the RCMP.”
The RCMP says Meldrum was arrested at an address in Anaham early Sunday morning, after Alexis Creek and Kamloops officers worked together to confirm his location.
Meldrum was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning in Williams Lake.
