1 person arrested for ‘driving dangerously’ in Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford

The Surrey RCMP says a driver has been arrested for “driving dangerously in multiple cities.”

According to Mounties, the female driver kept going when officers tried to make a traffic stop in south Surrey just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The RCMP called in its Air 1 helicopter to find the driver, whom police say “continued to drive recklessly.”

The green Toyota Corolla was seen driving through Surrey, Langley, and Abbotsford, before it crashed with another vehicle in the area of 208 Street and 51b Avenue in Langley.

The suspect was arrested by members of the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services, and treated by paramedics for minor injuries, the Surrey RCMP explains.

“Thankfully, the occupant of the civilian vehicle was not injured,” the RCMP said in a release.

Mounties are asking anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
