Vancouver opens warming centres due to dropping temperatures

The City of Vancouver says an extreme weather alert has been issued for Tuesday night through Thursday.

The alert was extended because temperatures are set to feel like or below 0°C through these nights.

The city says additional shelter spaces and warming centres will be available to those in need.

“If you are sleeping outside, please come inside,” the city said in a social media post Tuesday.
