North Van home target of ‘ongoing harassment’: RCMP

The North Vancouver RCMP says it’s looking to identify two people in connection with an “ongoing harassment case.”
Mounties say early Saturday morning, officers received reports that a door at a home on Mahon Avenue was kicked two separate times — once at 12:40 a.m. and then again at 1:30 a.m.
Two suspects were seen kicking the front door and running away on surveillance video.
According to the RCMP, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at the house. The same property was the subject of four acts of vandalism, the RCMP says, noting in those cases, “youths are seen on CCTV” kicking and egging the home.
In one case, investigators say a traffic cone was thrown through the front window.
Two seniors with no criminal history live in the home, police say, adding the residents “are unsure why they have been a target of such acts of vandalism.”
The RCMP is reminding people that “acts of vandalism are criminal,” and that charges of mischief could be laid.
“These seniors are terrified every time they are woken up at night by these disturbing acts and the police would like these suspects to stop,” said Const. Mansoor Sahak.
