2 people in hospital after stabbing at Guildford Town Centre Mall: police

Two people are in hospital — one in critical condition — after a stabbing at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre Mall, police say.
The Surrey RCMP says it responded to a report of a double stabbing at the mall just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers say they found a 40-year-old female and a 35-year-old male suffering from stab wounds.
The victims were both transported to hospital, where the female remains in critical condition and the male is currently stable, police say.
Mounties say their initial findings indicate a confrontation ocurred between the victims and a single male aggressor, but officers remain on scene to investigate.
It’s currently unknown if there was a prior relationship between the victims and the aggressor, or if it was a targeted incident.
