Mounties in Maple Ridge seek suspect who stole loved one’s ashes from vehicle

The Ridge Meadows RCMP is asking the public for help finding a suspect in a robbery during which an item of sentimental value was stolen.
On March 7 just before 9:30 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Fletcher Street near 123 Avenue.
The suspect stole a loved one’s ashes, as well as mail, clothing, perfume, and a water bottle.
Police say the suspect is a woman who was wearing a Nike athletic jacket and black leggings.
“Police are urging the suspect to return all items, especially the ashes as they are of high sentimental value,” the RCMP said in a news release.
