Burnaby RCMP seeking suspects after $370K break and enter

Mounties in Burnaby say they are looking to find two suspects and hope to identify a third in relation to a 2022 break and enter.

Police say on Feb. 12, 2022, officers responded to reports of the break and enter at a commercial warehouse on Lowland Drive near Tillicum Street in South Burnaby.

Four shipping containers — holding around $370,000 worth of home appliances — were taken from the property overnight.

While a stolen semi truck and the four shipping containers were later found around the Lower Mainland, the merchandise was not recovered.

Police say officers executed a search warrant on April 13, 2022, at a home in Surrey, and arrested 45-year-old Jamey McIntyre and 33-year-old Ashley Heide.

Both were released with future court dates.

Four months later, the pair were charged with theft of a motor vehicle, break and enter, and possession of stolen property.

Warrants have been issued for both McIntyre, who is wanted Canada-wide, and Heide, wanted B.C.-wide.

Jamey McIntyre is described as 5’8″ tall with a medium build and brown hair.

Ashley Heide is described as 5’6″ with a slender build and black hair.

The police are also asking the public for help identifying a third suspect believed to have been involved.

He is believed to be in his thirties.

“This was a significant break and enter involving hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of commercial goods, making it one of the largest break and enters Burnaby RCMP investigated in 2022,” said Corp. Mike Kalanj.
