A man has been charged Saturday, in connection to a late-night homicide in Abbotsford, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
Abbotsford police (AbbyPD) responded to reports of an assault in progress in a home along Wagner Drive on Friday, March 15 around 10:50 p.m.
Mounties found a 41-year-old woman, Balwinder Kaur, inside the home with life-threatening stab wounds.

First responders attempted to save her life, but Kaur died shortly afterward in hospital.
Police arrested a man at the scene and now 50-year-old Jagpreet Singh, the husband of Kaur, faces second-degree murder charges.
“This was an isolated incident,” says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.
“IHIT will continue to work with AbbyPD over the coming days, not only to advance this investigation, but to support the community affected by this tragedy.”
The BC Coroners Service is also working in partnership with mounties.
This case is now at trial in court.
