Surrey business shot at in targeted incident: RCMP

Mounties in Surrey say a business was likely targeted when it was shot at early Monday morning.

The RCMP was called to the area of 80 Avenue and 128 Street in Newton just before 3 a.m. for reports of a “glass-break alarm.”

Officer say they arrived to find “evidence consistent with a shooting.”

Few other details have been provided. However, police say initial information indicates this shooting wasn’t random.

No injuries were reported and the RCMP notes the business was closed at the time of the incident.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
