Stanley Park pedestrian bridge struck by delivery truck

A delivery truck has been extensively damaged after striking the underside of a pedestrian bridge in Stanley Park.

The bridge, which goes over Stanley Park Drive near the Causeway and Vancouver Rowing Club, appears to have only suffered minor damage.

Meanwhile, the top of the truck’s trailer appears to have been ripped up and pried open by the impact.

The Vancouver Park Board tells CityNews it’s aware of the incident and is currently investigating the details.

No one was injured and traffic in the area was not impacted, the board adds.
