A heavy police presence was seen in Surrey Wednesday afternoon as officers responded to reports of a weapon.
The Surrey RCMP says it received a call just before 4 p.m. about the incident near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 84 Avenue.
Cpl. Sarbjit Sangha says multiple people were taken into custody at the scene.
Sangha adds the incident was contained to a residence and a nearby road closure related to the incident has since ended.
No injuries were reported and there’s no further risk to the public, Sangha says.
Mounties say the investigation is ongoing.
