Vancouver crews respond to Yaletown restaurant fire

Firefighters were called to Yaletown Thursday morning after flames erupted inside a restaurant.

Vancouver Fire Rescue Services Capt. Matthew Trudeau tells CityNews the fire was inside The Parlour eatery, adding flames were seen shooting out of the roof at one point.

By 10 a.m., Trudeau said most — if not all — of the fire had been knocked down.

He says the fire spread through three levels of the building but were contained to just the one business. No injuries have been reported and the extent of the damage is unclear at this point.

However, Trudeau says El Guapo, a Mexican restaurant next door, suffered minor water damage.

Fire investigators are on scene to look into the cause.
