According to several sources, Arizona Coyotes players and staff were informed before Friday’s game in Edmonton that the team is headed to Utah, and there will be attempts to help those affected visit Salt Lake City.
A timeline of events to come was also presented.
With players and staff demanding answers after reports of the potential move, Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong flew to Alberta after attending the Frozen Four semifinals Thursday in Minnesota. He declined to comment.
While some sources indicated a visit could come right after the last game next Wednesday, others said that may not be possible, “because there is still work to do.” And, it’s always important to remember these are complex transactions that take time and involve twists.

For the second straight game, the Coyotes overcame the noise to defeat a Pacific Division power. Matias Maccelli scored in overtime to beat the Oilers 4-3, two nights after Arizona won in Vancouver.
Players were not made available following Friday’s win, and head coach Andre Tourigny would only answer questions about the game. The Coyotes finish their road schedule Sunday night in Calgary and are not expected to practice on Saturday.
